Strategic Partnership to Build Miami Fintech Innovation Hub
The Miami-Dade Beacon Council and the Miami Fintech Club today announced a strategic partnership to launch the Miami Fintech Innovation Hub, an initiative designed to accelerate fintech innovation, attract global investment, and support talent development in Miami-Dade County while strengthening the county’s position as a leading financial and technology center in the Americas.
The platform will connect fintech startups, financial institutions, investors, and public sector partners while positioning Miami as a preferred landing point for fintech companies expanding between Latin America, the United States, and global markets. The initiative aims to attract global fintech companies expanding between Latin America and the United States, positioning Miami as a strategic gateway for cross-border financial innovation.
The organizations will jointly develop the Miami Fintech Innovation Hub brand and platform and bring together private and public sector partners to support ecosystem development programs, international outreach, and industry initiatives aimed at accelerating fintech growth in the region.
“As the official economic development organization for Miami-Dade County, the Beacon Council works to attract global investment and support the growth of strategic industries,” said Nidia Martinez Quezada, Vice President of Business Development at the Miami-Dade Beacon Council. “Through the Miami Fintech Innovation Hub, we are creating a platform that connects international and local fintech companies with the capital, institutions, and partnerships needed to establish and scale their operations from Miami.”
The Miami Fintech Club will serve as the industry ecosystem partner for the initiative, contributing its network of founders, investors, financial institutions, and technology leaders across Miami and the Americas.
The initiative will focus on three strategic priorities:
Global Market Entry – Attract fintech companies seeking to establish or expand operations in Miami as a launchpad for growth across the Americas.
Capital and Innovation Access – Connect emerging fintech companies with venture capital firms, corporate investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners operating in the region.
Public-Private Ecosystem Development – Convene government leaders, regulators, foreign partners, investors, and industry stakeholders to support fintech innovation and industry growth.
Programs under the hub will include corporate innovation partnerships with financial institutions, investor engagement and curated access to venture capital, international outreach to attract fintech companies to Miami, and ecosystem events and talent development initiatives.
“Miami has reached a critical moment in its evolution as a financial and fintech hub,” said Alejandra Slatapolsky, Co-Founder of the Miami Fintech Club. “By partnering with the Beacon Council, we are building the infrastructure needed to support fintech companies at every stage of growth while positioning Miami as a global center for financial innovation.”
“Miami is at an inflection point in its evolution as a global financial center,” said Krista Oldfield, Chair of the Financial Advisory Council of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council.
The partnership officially launched with an in-person event on March 12 at the Beacon Council offices in Miami, convening banks, investors, fintech leaders, and ecosystem partners to discuss venture capital and corporate investment trends shaping the future of fintech and to outline the initial roadmap for the Miami Fintech Innovation Hub.
